Dundalk Bay Seafood’s Ltd was first known as “Pat Lynch Fish Merchants Ltd” est. By Pat Lynch senior in 1945, the business was the main buyer from for the local fishing fleet of Clogherhead for many years. The business would transform the local catch into fresh products to supply supermarket’s, chip shops and hospitals throughout Ireland and the north east. In 1975 the business was then passed onto Pat’s son Paddy who changed the name to Dundalk Bay Seafood’s Ltd and right here in 1980 repositioned the company as an export business, which would export products such as Nephrops, Smoked Salmon, Whiting, Razors and Scallops to the European market. The business thrives today and is still run by Paddy Lynch along with his two son’s Pat and Cathal and their uncle Emmet Moore, continuing the company’s status as a family business.
